Answered Prayer

Well, once again God comes through,  Proof once again that he listens and is in control!!

This past weekend I felt like Landon was moving A LOT  more than usual like I mentioned in my previous blog not just rolling and stretching, like crazy movements, it was even hard for me to focus on giving report sunday morning because he was doing some wild stuff in there, after I got off work Sunday morning I thought for sure this little guy had either flipped or moved in to some other position than he was previously in.  Things just felt different.  Usually I could feel his head right at the top of my uterus round and hard, and he liked to head-butt my belly and push his head out.  Not so much anymore...

Well, Sunday I was noticing more limb movement.  What I mean by this is previously I would only feel kicks on my bladder and cervix, and they were quite painful might I add.  Sunday I could feel feet or legs or something near the top of my uterus...not a hard head... I continued to feel all kinds of crazy limb movements in the front of my belly not down below like before, so I had a feeling he might have flipped but did not want to get my hopes up.

Even last night I couldn't hardly sleep because he was moving so much and then when I woke this morning I felt a weird pressure on the right side of my groin...well come to find out that was his head.  Now, I feel a lot more pressure down there than before and it isn't really that comfortable but I suppose this is the new normal and it is welcomed with open arms if it means my little man is in the proper position to make his debut into this world!!

I had an OB appointment this morning and she did an ultrasound to confirm his position and sure enough he was head down!!!! He still is pretty high, he hasn't dropped yet and I am still barely dilated to a one and not effaced at all.  This is completely normal since there hasn't been any head pressure to dilate the cervix like nature intended.  The Dr said she thinks I have a few weeks to go still..well yeah Duh, my due date is not for 3 more weeks.

Either way they said they wont let me go past my due date as I have a small frame and that will only increase my chance of needing a c-section because of him being too big. So since they do inductions on tuesdays the longest I have to go is about 22 days!!! So exciting and so surreal, I cant believe that THIS MONTH I will have my baby, brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it!!!

34w6d

So technically I am 35 weeks today but I took my 34 week picture yesterday and had an appointment and was planning on doing my post yesterday and it just didn't happen so I am doing it today, and then I will do my 35 week post later in the week.

How far along? when I took the picture yesterday 34w 6d

Baby's size? measured about 5lbs 4oz at our appointment yest, 30th percentile

Weight Gain? 19lbs so far

Maternity clothes? i have some long sleeve maternity tops for work as I know only have 2 scrub tops that fit and I cant justify buying new scrub tops to wear for 4 weeks or so and actually by the time i order them and they get here i may only have about  2.5-3 weeks of wearing them...not worth it to me, but other than that no, my jeans  I am wearing are still my last non maternity pair that fit with a bella band on the waist

Stretch marks? not a single one

Belly button in or out? definitely out, sometimes I want to buy some pasties and just put one on my belly button haha

Sleep? so good lately, I have been running on 100mph these days so by the time I go to bed I am exhausted

Foods I am loving? fresh fruit, donuts

Foods I am hating? nothing really

Best moment this week? getting the nursery painted and the baby furniture in!!

Movement? moving all the time, although he needs to do a back flip or something and get his head down!! At my appointment yesterday they confirmed what I knew was coming, they scheduled a c-section, they said its easier to cancel them than to schedule them last minute so unless he flips himself over he will be here on May 17th...unless he tries to come earlier than that but Im thinking no.  I was and still am pretty upset about this, not that c-sections are evil or anything but its just not what I ever imagined for myself, when I got pregnant I always pictured myself having a natural delivery, thats what I've always wanted and the fact that this pregnancy has been so uneventful and things have gone so smoothly the potential for a c section totally throws that whole image out the window.  I am no dummy and I know where his head is I can feel his big hard noggin and so I totally knew this was a possibility if he didn't flip over but the fact that its actually scheduled now makes it more of a reality and something I have to wrap my head around, and ultimately I just want him to be healthy, I see so much scary stuff at work that I know a healthy baby is such a blessing but I am still holding out hope that he may flip still and I am thinking of finding a chiropractor licensed in the Webster Method which is supposed to flip breech babies. Well see...

Symptoms? more tired, and my lower back and hips have started to get sore especially by the end of the day

Gender? a lil boy, Landon Matthew

What I miss? I could use a ice cold beer or glass of wine from time to time

What I'm looking forward to? getting our bedding in and finishing up the nursery

Weekly Wisdom: God is in control of this whole situation, not me, and I need to have faith that He knows whats best and its all in His hands.

Milestone: less than a month to go!!

Emotions: the bigger this baby gets and the closer I get to his arrival the more real this becomes, and I already love this baby sooooo much I cant even begin to imagine the love I will feel for him once he is really here

a picture from our growth ultrasound yesterday, thats his foot up by his face basically poking his eye ...he had both feet up in his face, it was pretty funny, and he had so much hair you could see it waving in the fluid, I think he may need a haircut at birth LOL!!

Maternity clothes? no but i am slowly running out of options as far as my regular clothes go, luckily 90% of the time Im either wearing scrubs or lounge clothes so I don't need many options

Stretch marks? not a single one Thank you mom :)

Belly button in or out? its pretty flat

Sleep? mostly pretty good I love my body pillow its nothing fancy just a body pillow from target

Foods I am loving? OMG Pizza rolls with sour cream!! I went through a bag of pizza rolls and a 16oz tub of sour cream in two days last week!! Also cereal I eat tons of cereal!! MOStly Lucky Charms but i like to switch it up every few days as in I go through a box of cereal every few days hehe

19 weeks

How far along? 19 weeks 4 days

Baby's size? Heirloom Tomato about 6 inches from crown to rump

Weight Gain? I weigh myself everyday and some days Im at 0 lb. gained some days Im at 1 lb. gained...I'm interested to see what the Dr has to say about this

Maternity clothes? nope

Stretch marks? not a single one :)

Belly button in or out? Very much in

Sleep? I have slept much better this week, it makes work so much more enjoyable when I get enough sleep

Foods I am loving? Papa Johns Pizza, Lucky Charms, fruit, mac and cheese, sprite, captain crunch, apple juice, spaghetti o's

Foods I am hating? eggs, peppers or onions, garlic

Best moment this week? This week hasn't been too eventful I just seriously cant wait till Wednesday when I find out the sex of this lil bebe

Movement? YES, definitely feeling bebe move more and more

Symptoms? I have definitely had much more of an appetite and much less queasiness this week, I'm just very particular about what I want to and don't want to eat...I find myself not able to eat as much at one sitting anymore which I know is only going to get worse.  My skin has still been breaking out pretty bad, but My amazing OB office that I freaking love has a really sweet lady who does all their aesthetic services so I am going every two weeks and alternating between a pregnancy safe facial/peel thing and microderm abrasion, I am really hopeful that things will start to look better soon...plus its really nice getting a facial and neck/head massage every two weeks :)

Gender? Find out in 3 days!!!! I cant wait its like christmas all over again...I told hubby He may not want me knowing the gender because it will be all I can do to not buy every cute thing I see ESPECIALLY if its a girl :)

What I miss? being able to run and work out and sleep on my back

What I'm looking forward to? finding out what this little bebe is!!!

Weekly Wisdom: I tell myself often God is in control He gave me this life to care for and He is in control me worrying about all the crazy weird things that can happen will do no good! <--- still holds true

Milestone: I feel like I am finally showing just a tad

Emotions: Lately knowing this pregnancy is almost half done I have started to feel a little overwhelmed with the fact that I am going to be responsible for teaching and raising this little life..its a BIG responsibility

15 weeks

How far along? 15 weeks 5 days

Baby's size? navel orange

Weight Gain? None so far, at the Dr's office today their scale showed 1lb gain but I told her on my scale at home that I use everyday I'm still at no weight gain...she said its ok as long as I'm not losing weight

Maternity clothes? I don't foresee needing this for quite a while as I am still fitting into my XS regular clothes with no problems

Stretch marks? not a single one :)

Belly button in or out? Very much in

Sleep? sleep is great I sleep better during the day but that's possible because I work night shift and my body is accustomed to that...On days I work it doesn't matter what time I go to bed or how tired I am I will always wake up at 530 AM wide awake, its pretty annoying

Foods I am loving? Papa Johns Pizza, Beefaroni (totally random I know but I seriously can eat this stuff on a daily basis and I often do)

Foods I am hating? Not a fan of eggs and definitely no onions

Best moment this week? I had a Dr's appointment today, it was very uneventful but I love going to see how things are coming along...in one month we find out the gender!! YAY

Movement? none yet

Symptoms?  Over this past week my hunger and queasiness have been at a battle HA, I almost passed out twice because I guess I went too long without eating but I didn't feel hungry it was like in a split second I felt like I was going to pass out and thank Jesus for the sweet tarts in my purse.  I'm trying to be better about making myself eat more often but some days I still have quite a bit of queasiness, its very frustrating to try an figure out

Gender? don't know yet...really really hoping for a girl but would be thrilled with a boy too

What I miss? being able to run like I used to

What I'm looking forward to? finding out what this little human is... we have one month

Weekly Wisdom: nada

Milestone:

Emotions: I worry a lot, but due to my job and the crazy stuff I see on a daily basis I don't think that will ever go away until this baby is born and is at home and healthy, today though the Dr did a good job of reassuring me and not making me feel crazy for worrying about the random crap I worry about

Ok now for pictures...I'm telling you I don't look pregnant at all, I went to a friends daughters birthday party and all day I heard how I don't look pregnant blah blah...I feel like I'm in this in the middle stage where I don't look pregnant but I feel bigger than I was, and wishing I was showing more

please excuse the stupid look on my face
there is slightly something there
and for some comparison...this is me technically 2 weeks pregnant hah on labor day
so you see things have certainly shifted around even if I have gained no weight and to most don't look pregnant

I'm Katie a 27 year old mommy and wife. Welcome to my blog where I will chronicle the happenings of my life as I find the balance between being both SAHM by day and CVICU nurse by night.

I love Jesus and strive to be more like Christ every day. Running, reading, and cooking are some of my favorite past-times. I love photography but I am no pro, but it helps I have such a cute subject to practice on!!
