Non-christmas 2012

I know christmas is long and over, but due to my work schedule and being sick two different times in the weeks leading up to christmas, the usual christmas traditions and happenings fell to the wayside.  Therefor I don't have the usual christmas catch up post like most of you, I came home from work, we ate breakfast and opened presents then me and L took a nap...thats it.  L wasn't into christmas didn't care about his presents and I think he wasn't feeling good because the next day I came home to him with a 103 fever.  I didn't get cute family pictures shoot I don't even have a single picture of L in front of our tree or anything.

This made me sad, no christmas church, no christmas outfit, no christmas cookies.  I guess thats not what makes up christmas but the fact I had to work on christmas eve and christmas night really kind of ruined it for me.  I have already decided next year Im doing it big! I LOVE christmas and next year nothing will be spared, watch out family and get ready!!

I am so blessed though to actually have a job even if I did have to go into work and ruin my holiday.  I am blessed to have all that we have and to have my husband and son healthy and happy.

One thing though that I did not let fall to the way side is christmas jambes! I have a slight addiction to babies in jammies and christmas ones are even cuter

I took these throughout the month before christmas and I love them so much that even though christmas is over you better believe he is still wearing them :)

Lousy Christmas aside I get to wake up to this ginormous smile EVERY day thats way better than any christmas in my book!!!

Great post. Every Christmas can't be from a movie scene of perfection. some are better than others. You do what you can and move on. L is still little and you will have many opportunities for a re-do. You may have more years of working over the holiday-comes with the medical field. It is all about love and I think your family knows they are loved. I do. Love you sweetie and you are a great mom.

He is one cute kid! I'm sorry Christmas didn't work out just like you wanted it to but I love your attitude about embracing what you had and getting excited about next year. Here's to a very happy new year!

I'm Katie a 27 year old mommy and wife. Welcome to my blog where I will chronicle the happenings of my life as I find the balance between being both SAHM by day and CVICU nurse by night.

I love Jesus and strive to be more like Christ every day. Running, reading, and cooking are some of my favorite past-times. I love photography but I am no pro, but it helps I have such a cute subject to practice on!!
